Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 29/08/2025
Last Updated: 07/11/2025

1. Introduction

This privacy policy applies to all mobile applications developed and published by us ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting user privacy and ensuring transparency in how our apps operate.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific app, our applications do not collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data. By using any of our apps, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

By default, our apps do not collect or transmit any of the following:

3. Device Features and Local Processing

Some apps may request access to device features such as location services, sensors, or storage in order to provide specific functionality (for example, calculating moon phases based on location). Any such data is processed locally on the user's device and is not transmitted to us or stored externally unless otherwise stated below for a specific app.

Original Bibles App

The Original Bibles app does not use device location or send any user data to us or any third party.

Moon Phases App

The Moon Phases app may request access to device location in order to calculate lunar and solar data (such as moon phases, rise/set times, and astronomical events) relevant to your position. This location data is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to us, NASA, or any third party.

4. External Connections

Certain apps may connect to external servers to download content or enable features. All external connections are made over HTTPS. These servers may receive standard technical information such as IP addresses and user agents as part of normal internet communications.

Moon Phases App External Server Use

The Moon Phases app contacts our server at https://www.androidsoft.uk for two purposes:

  1. To retrieve a NASA API key used to access NASA's public astronomy APIs.
  2. To download a high-resolution lunar image using only a numeric frame index parameter (for example, ?8701). The app does not send your location, identifiers, or any other personal information to our server for these requests.

We do not retain access logs for the above endpoints beyond transient processing required to serve the request.

The app also connects directly to NASA public APIs (e.g., APOD and DONKI) and to the NASA SVS imagery host to download public domain astronomy content. No personal information is included in these requests; those services may receive standard network metadata such as your device's IP address as part of normal web requests.

5. Third-Party Services

Our apps do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs unless explicitly stated within a specific app. If any app integrates third-party services, their privacy practices will be disclosed separately within that app.

6. Data Security

We minimize privacy risk by not collecting personal data in our apps. All requests to our endpoints and to NASA are protected in transit with industry-standard HTTPS encryption. Where transient processing occurs to fulfill a request (see Section 4), no access logs are retained beyond that processing.

7. Children's Privacy

Our apps are suitable for general audiences and do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of our apps, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

We do not intentionally collect or store personal data. However, when your device requests content from our servers or from NASA, those HTTPS requests are routed over the internet and may transit or terminate in other countries depending on your network path and the service location. No personal information is included in these requests beyond standard technical metadata required to establish a connection.

9. Your Rights and Choices

As our apps do not collect personal data, there are no user-specific rights or choices required under applicable privacy laws. If you have questions about a specific app's behavior, please contact us directly.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.

11. Contact Us

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or any of our apps, please contact us:

Email: admin@androidsoft.uk and for Moon Phases App developer@androidsoft.uk

Appendix: Google Play Data Safety (Moon Phases)

For the Moon Phases app, based on the behavior described above (no retention of access logs and no transmission of personal data), we declare:

If our hosting configuration changes to retain any server access logs or additional data, we will update both this policy and our Google Play Data Safety disclosures accordingly.

Original Bibles App - Embedded ChatGPT & Copilot

The Original Bibles app includes optional in-app WebView tabs that load ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Microsoft Copilot. We do not collect or store your prompts or conversation data.
